Beauty Queen or Drama Queen

So what is it about this beauty queen Mahleej Sarkrai that controversies follow her everywhere.
Should we call her Drama queen instead?
First she made headlines when she won the title of Miss Pakistan 2007, she was once again in news when she competed internationally at Miss Tourism Queen International 2008 and was chosen in the top 20. What made
this beauty known worldwide was the statement when she called president Musharraf " a hunk". And how can we forget the drama between Mahleej and Nadia Khan.
Mahleej who was born in Pakistan currently lives in Canada. She has proved to be one of a kind and has gained a lot of support and popularity within the community and worldwide in the glamour and entertainment industry.
These days you can find her travelling between Canada and New York promoting for the launch of her company on Feb 13, 2009 in Toronto. Mahleej SarkariPromotions Inc is a company that involves various productions , promotions for clients and sponsors, event organizations and supporting the charities such as abused women, orphans and sick kids. The purpose of these events are also to raise awareness of different problems we face in the world today.
When asked in one interview how does she feel about the controversies, she replied "controversies are part of the entertainment and glamour world. I just focus on my work and keep thinking positive".

Hi my name is Mahleej Sarkari also my family nick named me Mali. I was born and raised in Karachi Pakistan. As a kid I was always interested in performing on stage whether it be dancing, acting, modeling or hosting. I was always the first in line.

My family moved to Canada when I was twelve years old , it was a big change for me moving to a different country, but I still didn’t lose my passion to perform. I immediately got involved in activities at school. Performing at school functions, celebration events, I was known as the bollywood dance performer throughout high school. At the age of 16 I started bugging my mother to get new head shots done and finally we got them done. But as I was also going to school I wanted to concentrate on my studies. Once I graduated from high school more opportunities came my way, but sadly none of them were in my own community, but mostly in the Canadian industry. It was in 2004 when in heard of Miss Pakistan World. But the timing wasn’t’ right and I wasn’t able to participate. But I was happy that finally there was a way to bring all the Pakistani girls out of their closets, and into the spotlight to show the world how beautiful and smart we are.

Then in 2006 I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to represent my country as well as represent women of today living abroad. I finally decided to compete, and I worked hard for it but unfortunately came out with only the title of Miss Beautiful Skin. I was disappointed but I learnt a lot from the experience and made a lot of friends. Finally after convincing myself I tried to compete again 2007 but this time I had more experience. I knew I had to give my all and keep thinking positive, and kept telling myself everyday the harder I work the better the reward is going to be. Keeping a really positive attitude helped me a lot, and my experience also helped me in guiding other contestants. I wanted to help anyone that was willing to take on a few tips. At the end I did win the title, but what shocked me the most was that I was also chosen Miss Congeniality, which is based on the votes by other contestants. I was very proud and very happy. Overall it was a great experience and I made some great friends for life.

Winning this Title has been a life changing experience for me. It’s a lot more than just smiling and taking pictures as the world may think. This title means a lot of responsibility, as you become a role model for other women. Whatever actions I take send a message to the world. So I have to make sure that I’m always sending out a positive message. As I’m also required to represent Pakistan in international pageants, it’s my responsibility to represent my country with honour and respect.

I feel very honored and happy. I feel that it is a great opportunity for me to come out as an individual and as a Pakistani. Also it gives me a great opportunity to get acknowledged and recognized, as a Pakistani woman, in other pageants of the world.

I see it as great honor and opportunity to represent my country especially because of its political and religious structure and the restraints they put on the women of Pakistan. This gives me a chance to represent the intelligence, skills, hidden talents and beauty of Pakistani women and get them known, acknowledged, and recognized in the world and other pageants. I am planning to represent Pakistan in international pageants, and change the negativity people have towards Pakistan. Also to send out a message to the young women that they can be whatever they want, they should always have a positive outlook.

Most people think, that Beauty Pageants are all about superficial looks and physical qualities, but that’s a big misconception. A beauty queen is a role model for other women, and in my opinion, the qualities a role model should possess are leadership, persistence, charisma, intelligence, and strength. It takes a lot of hard work, months of planning ahead for dresses, jewelry, practicing your talent, preparing for the question and answer segment, interviews and so on. With my experience I started planning for the pageant 3 months ahead of time. How you dress, how you speak, and how you compose yourself; everything counts, and is judged. I remember only getting 3 to 4 hrs of sleep on certain nights as I would be practicing for the pageant. So as you can see I was not getting much of my beauty sleep, but I also knew that the judges won’t only be judging on beauty but other factors as well. For me it was a great experience and a rush that I would love to do over and over again, and a memory I’ll keep with me forever.

JTV Madness and Drama

JTV Madness and Drama
Hello everyone,

As you all know i've almost been on JTV for a month and have had a successful channel. I keep up to my word and provide exciting shows.
My photoshoot on Sat Nov 22 was a great success...

I read the term and conditions of JTV policies as i always abide by the rules and seen that there is no nudity allowed on this site. Which is great because there is no nudity on my channel. My mods and I are very strict on the rules of my channel....
I believe a week back i started a joke and had 700 viewers in my channel. Guess what happend i got flagged.

Most of the time i sit in a robe on top of my clothes as i live in Canada and am always freezing, after sending JTV 10 emails my accounts was agiain listed in the directories. When i woke up again next morning the same thing happened ,someone had flagged me, i went through the same procedure and was back on again..

Everything went well till last night when i started an auction for fun as i know people are not going to take it seriously... my room was packed with 400 viewers and then i again got flagged not once but 25 times. I gave up and started a private room only for my regular viewers. When i was done i noticed i was back again on the listing directory.

Now why i'm writing this is that JTV staff have been watching my channel and obviously can see i'm not doing anything against their terms, so they always put me on, and I really appriciate their effort. As i know everytime i get flagged they have to also do a lot of work :).

What i dont get is the hatred and jealousy of some people on here for example. one viewers flagged me coz i would not get naked.....
I think only JTV's staff or the oldest members should have that privilidge and not every member on this site. As they really missuse it.

Anyways thats all i had to say.....
I love putting on shows for all my fans and hope to do better for the future show, you guys are awesome and always put a smile on my face whenever i'm pissed or feeling down.....
Big shout out to all my mods as they work on my channel like i pay them a salary lol...you guys are the best.

Love you all
Mahleej

****jtv suicide**** :(

yesterday, reports flew all around about a 19-year-old committing suicide...live...on justin.tv...

1500 viewers egging him on to commit the act were noted as the fault, claiming it was a "hoax", some saying "go you faggot. do it already!" "youre not made for this world, go ahead"

how could 1500 ppl be so ruthless to do such a thing??

if you care about this and think that people should be able to act smarter in this world today, repost this with your name in the list below:

I cannot believe, people would do anything for their entertainment. When did we all become so selfish, instead of helping a person who was obviously crying out for help you guys watched him die. Everyperson that encouraged him or made fun of him should be ashamed as they are acted as an accessor to his death....Its is true this world is coming to an end as there is no humanity left ...all we see is hatred and selfishness..
God help us
